Instant Pot Scrambled Eggs


Instant Pot Scrambled Eggs is an easy and tasty recipe that will give you a boost in the morning and will make you feel good about yourself since you ate something healthy and not just sugar.

Can I use Instant Pot mini to make this recipe?

Sure! 3-quarts is enough and you can use any small pressure cooker for this recipe. No need to take out the big pots...

Do I need to use the pressure cooking function?

No. This pressure cooker scrambled eggs recipe is very simple, and made using the Saute option only. So no need to wait the Instant Pot to create pressure.

How to prevent eggs from sticking to the pressure cooker?

After you press "saute", wait for the Instant Pot to displays “Hot” on the screen.

That way you will make sure the butter melts \ the oil is ready.

If you add the eggs too soon, you will need to scratch eggs from the bottom of the pot, and it's not fun at all.

  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 tbsp Milk
  • 2 tbsp cheddar cheese optional
  • ½ tsp ground all spice optional
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Put the butter in the Instant Pot and select “Sauté”.
  • In a bowl, add eggs and all the other ingredients and mix well
  • After the butter melts, transfer the mixture to the Instant Pot. Stir, mix, flip until the eggs are ready
  • Turn off the Sauté option and serve the eggs.

Eggs' cooking time depending on your preference. 
Make sure you take out the eggs immediately. Otherwise, they will keep cooking using the pot heat.

          They shouldn't stick if you use PAM. Make sure to fully coat the bottom and lower sides of the pot to ensure they don't stick.

      Yes you can. Just remove it replace the butter with 2 tbsp canola oil.

      You can use water instead. I scramble eggs with water instead of milk all the time.

    New to this site today. I'm a bit confused about how using the I.P. is any different than using a simple frying pan which is quite a lot less to clean. Thanks for any help with this. : )

    Some people live in places with no cooktops. Other people want to camp or live in an RV and don't want to use propane. The instant pot is very useful in cooking in these situations.

        Frying anything on a cooktop causes splatter. Which means cleaning the stove 3 times a day. No thanks. If I can use the IP to fry/cook instead of the stove I will.

    I am so glad that I found this, I am getting ready to go over the road in a simi truck with my husband and am going to just have a 3 qt instant pot and a roadpro lunch box oven to cook in so this is a great way to make eggs and bacon in the lunchbox.

    Corrie, on the sauté function you say to wait until ‘Hot’ appears. My 6qt Duo has the selections ‘normal’, ‘less’ and ‘more’ for sautéing. Am I correct that this recipe will use ‘normal’? As I’m getting more and more into using the sauté button, I’m reading recipes that state which sauté level to use. Thank you for your fail-proof recipes.
