  • 2 lb mutton boneless
  • 6 tbsp oil
  • 2 green chilies
  • 2 onions chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger minced
  • 1 tbsp garlic minced
  • 2 tomatoes chopped
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • cilantro to garnish
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 12 black peppercorns
  • 12 whole cloves
  • 2 cinnamon sticks 1 inch
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 4 black cardamoms
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 4 tsp coriander powder
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 2 tsp salt
  • Put oil and whole spices in the inner pot of Instant pot. Select “Sauté”.
  • After 30 seconds, add chopped onions, ginger, garlic and green chili in the Instant pot.
  • Sauté for about 4 minutes and add chopped tomatoes and spices.
  • Then, sauté for 2 minutes and add mutton.
  • Close the lid and press the “Manual” button. 
  • Cook for about 15 minutes on HIGH pressure.
  • Release the pressure naturally through the steam vent and open the lid.
  • Dish out and garnish with cilantro.
  • Serve and enjoy!
