It is known for its huge, dim-shaded, consumable leaves.
It's no big surprise that collard greens have become so firmly connected with the profound south and are a staple in Southern food.
Should I rinse Collard Green?
Absolutely! Rinse them properly before using them as they are quite sandy.
Make sure to wash and rinse a few times until you see no trace of dirt left in the bowl.
Can I add water to the recipe?
You surely won't have the need to add any liquid to the recipe as long as you are not making a gravy.
Collared Greens are rich in that already and for that to not get burnt we have utilized sesame oil.
Collard Greens are bitter. What can I do?
Collard Greens are naturally a bit bitter.
If your casserole tastes bitter, you can maintain the correct balance of sweetness and spice to it.
Try to add a little apple cider or coconut sugar to remove the bitterness.
What else can I add?
- Try adding more spices of your choice to spice it up a bit.
- Utilize olive oil instead of sesame oil.
- Add broth to make it a gravy.
